We believe in second chances for things, thoughtful choices for people, and a little more joy in the world.

The Daddy Mission

What Your Daddies Believe

Joy matters

We are in the business of making people smile. We believe everyday discoveries, nostalgic treasures, and the chance to love something again can bring genuine happiness. Helping good things find the right people is what makes our work worthwhile.

Existing things deserve another chance

Reselling keeps things in circulation and gives them the opportunity to be enjoyed for years to come. We prioritize reuse and local manufacturing when possible, and we continually look for ways to reduce our environmental impact. We don't promise perfection; we promise continued effort.

People deserve thoughtful consideration

As a women- and disability-owned small business, we believe in treating people with care, respecting differences, and making room for a diverse community. We know we won't always get everything right, but we commit to listening, learning, and doing better.

Daddy Policy

Our AI Policy:

We believe creativity, play, and human connection should remain human.

We promise never to use AI for creative work or fun activities. We limit our use of AI to responsible, positive, disability-supportive applications where it can provide meaningful assistance.

We also commit to limiting unnecessary AI use, particularly when it serves no meaningful purpose beyond disability support, in recognition of its environmental costs.

We believe emerging AI should be shaped by real people modeling kindness, altruism, and responsibility. As these technologies develop, we have a responsibility to encourage their use in ways that reflect the best of humanity, rather than treating technological progress as an excuse to abandon our values.

Our Environmental Commitment:

We don't promise perfection. We promise to keep trying.

Our business model centers on giving existing things another life through resale, helping extend their usefulness and keep them in circulation. When new manufacturing is needed, we prioritize local production when possible.

We are committed to continually examining our processes and products, finding practical ways to reduce waste and lessen our impact on the earth. We believe progress matters more than pretending to have everything figured out.

Our Social Impact Commitment:

We believe understanding history means being willing to confront its difficult truths. Vintage and novelty items can preserve the humor, beliefs, prejudices, and injustices of the times in which they were made. Their existence is part of our history, but that doesn't make every item harmless.

As a small business, we carefully sort the vintage stock we acquire and work to remove harmful material from our offerings. We know two people cannot recognize every harmful reference, stereotype, or historical context. We will make mistakes, and we commit to listening, learning, and improving when we do.

We believe in freedom of expression and respect people's ability to engage with difficult history in different ways. Our diverse community will not always agree on what should be displayed, preserved, discussed, or removed. We don't believe those differences should prevent honest conversations about our shared history.

When we collect especially troubling materials, we look for opportunities to repurpose them into art, giving those materials another life rather than simply sending them to waste.

Our goal is not to erase difficult history or pretend harmful things never existed. It is to approach that history thoughtfully, reduce harm where we can, and remain open to learning from the people our decisions affect.
